Are there such things as ghosts? Do you believe there are frightful, haunted places? Places with bad history where strange and terrible things have happened.

In Italy there is a small isolated island in the Venetian Lagoon called Poveglia. This island has a very dark and sad history. At first the island was used as a dumping ground for thousands of plague victims during the three times in history when the black plague spread throughout Europe. Terrified of the black death the officials of Venice tried to isolate anyone that showed symptoms by sending them to this island. Here they would all meet a faith not even imaginable. It is said that more than 160 000 human beings died there during these sad times.
