A way of doing shamanic and magical work is to go to other worlds, or dimensions if you prefer the terminology, and there to perform different actions. Such as learning, curing or in general terms changing the energies of an object or the self if that is the goal.
There are many reasons why you want to know a song of power. By singing it you connect to the spirit of the song and the power which it represents becomes you. When you sing it, it makes you stronger and fills you with strength. I encourage you to experiment to see where the song can be used. It it feels right then your doing it right...
