About shamanic work

A way of doing shamanic and magical work is to go to other worlds, or dimensions if you prefer the terminology, and there to perform different actions. Such as learning, curing or in general terms changing the energies of an object or the self if that is the goal.

SpirithelperThe same work are being done by other practitioners of magickal arts. The common denominator is that when we want something to happen we all do our best to change the energy structure to what it is that we want to happen. One of the special shamanic approaches is to always do this with the help and overseeing from the spirit guides. A shaman never works alone and is never without his or hers spirit helpers. And there is true power in numbers as they say.

The way to travel to other worlds is to shift the consciousness to another level of awareness. For instance, normally you would look at a particular illness such as a simple cold as something just created by a virus. You would go about curing it by staying at home lying in bed and drinking lots of fluid and staying warm. A Shaman would give you the same advice but would also do a journey to the spirit world in order to get you a spirit-cure (if there is one to obtain for you).

A sickness has its physical reality and it has its non-physical reality. At the physical level there is the non-personal germ or virus for the immune system to outlive, or to kill perhaps with the aid of some kind of medical prescription. On the non-physical level or the shamanic level the illness might have a face, a voice and perhaps a story to tell you. How ever the sickness manifests in the body, the shaman would try to make it leave on the non-physical level and more importantly the shaman will try and prevent it from coming back in any future manifestations. The last part is the most important one. If a sickness doesn’t have its origin from karma, old age and is not the result from an outside attack. Then probably the illness have manifested in the body because of a weakness that can be helped or strengthened. And often the illness itself can provide the details on what made it arrive in the first place.
